Dealing with dark days – how to?

The dark days are upon us and winter is around the corner. Many people are affected by the seasonal changes and October can be a very difficult month to get through. Whilst there is nothing we can do about Autumn arriving, what we can do is change the way we look at it, how we are dealing with dark days. Option 1: darkness, cold, dead leaves, tiredness, lacking in motivation, too many layers, mud, soggy clothes, dampness… Option 2: cosy, candles, hot chocolate, beautiful, golden autumn colours, brisk walks kicking the fallen leaves, reading books, eating warming foods, meeting with friends, the prospect of spring to come…

Wayne Dyer, the American self-help author and motivational speaker, was known to say:
